Providing an unforgettable experience for youths this summer is the goal of the New York State Sheriffs’ Summer Camp.

Kids throughout the state, including 12 from Montgomery County, participate each year.

They say the program helps build confidence and creates lasting memories.

A special event to raise funds for this camp will be held on March 24 at Lorenzo’s Southside in Amsterdam.

Tickets are $100 per person. The funds will help support the development of a new facility at the camp, which will serve as a wellness and training center for first responders during the offseason.
