A fire at a senior apartment complex in Latham is under investigation.

Flames broke out Tuesday morning at the Sanderson Court Senior Apartments, investigators said.

The Latham Fire Department released a statement saying crews respond to that complex about 100 times a year for burnt food calls and medical calls, but this time, it turned out to be an actual fire.

Due to some fast action by staff onsite, the extent of the fire was limited to the place where it began.
One person was displaced.

No one was seriously hurt.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but firefighters say it was not suspicious.
