Five people nabbed in prostitution sting
Five people were arrested for allegedly patronizing prostitutes as part of a joint investigation between State Police and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
- Zachary Nawotniak, 22, of Queensbury, was charged with charged with patronizing a prostitute, attempted rape and attempted criminal sex act.
- Samuel P. Schultz, 56, of Amsterdam, was arrested and charged with attempted rape, patronizing a prostitute, criminal mischief, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree and reckless endangerment. State Police said Schultz is a Level 3 sex offender, which is the highest risk to re-offend.
- Tasean Booth, 32, of Schenectady, was arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and charged with patronizing a prostitute, criminal mischief, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child. Booth is a three-time felon and more charges are expected, police said.
- Denis Omuriuki, 35, of Cohoes, was charged with attempted rape, attempted criminal sex act and patronizing a person for prostitution.
- Erick J. DeJesus-Rosa, 30, of Amsterdam, was charged with patronizing a prostitute, and attempted criminal sex act.
