The Hannaford Charitable Foundation on Tuesday announced that it is donating $200,000 to help build a youth recreation center in Amsterdam.

Hannaford is donating the money to Creative Connections Clubhouse, which is a nonprofit organization in Amsterdam that offers a welcoming and safe environment for local young people.

The center will be the only facility of its kind in Amsterdam and will serve as a space for teenagers and young adults to connect with the community.
