Museum looking for hats Black women wore to church as part of an exhibit.
The New York State Museum is looking for hats Black women wore to church as part of an exhibit.
The museum and the Rapp Road Historical Association are teaming up to collect and preserve the stories of these women in New York through the very hats they wore to worship.
If you happen to have any of these church hats, the museum is looking for donations, along with a short history of their lives and the churches that they attended.
