Police: Washington County man drove drunk, hit child in vehicle

A Washington County man is accused of driving drunk with a child in the vehicle.

State Police said Jason E. Mcfarland, 42, of Hebron, had driven to a location to the town on Feb. 4 around 9:15 p.m. and had an argument with the child. Mcfarland allegedly attempted to hurt the child.

When interviewed, police said Mcfarland showed signs of intoxication.

Mcfarland was charged with felony DWI, attempted assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was turned over to Washington County Jail to await arraignment.
