Generous grocery shoppers are making a big difference for local Special Olympics athletes.

Market 32 and Price Chopper have raised more than $60,000 for the Special Olympics.

Customers rounded up their change during February and March to benefit the cause.

A total of 129 stores across six states took part.

Around $50,000 was raised by shoppers, and Market 32 and Price Chopper contributed an additional $10,000.
