This is a big year for Kinderhook native Chris Gibson. The decorated Army veteran and former U.S. congressman is in his first year as Siena College president.
Gibson is also a Siena graduate and describes his education there as life changing.
"It really instilled in me I guess what the scholars call emotional intelligence. It really provided for me a journey that led to more awareness, self-awareness," he said.
NewsChannel 13 recently spent a day with Gibson to learn what it's like to now be the president at his alma mater and to take on this new role during a pandemic.
