NewsChannel 13 is working to find out more about why Chatham's police chief is on a 30-day paid leave.

Mayor John Howe says New York State Police served a warrant for Chief Peter Volkmann, seeking computer records from the police department.

The New York State Comptroller's Office and the Columbia County District Attorney's Office are also involved.

In a Facebook post, Hudson Mayor Kamal Johnson said Volkmann resigned as the police commissioner of his city. Johnson said he accepted the resignation.
