He can solve a Rubik's Cube in under 60 seconds. He's an athlete, sometimes musician, adventurer, superhero and mommy's little boy.
"He's worked very hard for everything he's achieved, and, from sports to school it's his discipline and grit that really make him shine, said Rachel Eveleth, Jason Eveleth's mom.
On and off the track, Jason always has his eyes on the finish line. As he wraps up four years at Albany High School, he's taking first place for academics, graduating as valedictorian for the Class of 2019.
"It's a lot of fun to learn. Like, I enjoy especially math. That's what my favorite subject is, so much fun," said Jason.
Rachel and Ted Eveleth knew from a very early age their son was a stand-out.
"When he was 18 months old, so he's pre-verbal, I was talking about, a topic came up about a fisherman. A fisherman, what a fisherman is and he stopped, ran into the other room and started looking through the books. He found "The Little Engine That Could." On some page in the middle of the book the train goes over the bridge and there's a fisherman under it and he remembered," said Ted.
In the fall, Jason will attend Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
"I'm very excited. I mean, it's been great here and I don't know. I'm just very excited to go to college," said Jason.
"No matter where he goes or what he does, he's going to be happy, because he's interested and curious - and those are like the most important things," said Rachel.
