Albany police hand out backpacks full of school supplies

ALBANY - It's hard to believe, but school starts in just about three weeks from now.

Albany police officers will be working to help kids get ready.

Officers - along with the city's Police Athletic League were handing out backpacks full of school supplies to children at their summer camp.

They say it's their way of giving kids a head start on having a successful school year.
