Contigo is issuing a voluntary recall for 5.7 million of its Kids Cleanable Water Bottles because of a potential choking hazard for children.

The company says the water bottle’s spout may detach from the lid.

The recall applies to Contigo Kids Cleanable Water Bottles sold in 13-ounce, 14-ounce, and the 20-ounce size. The water bottles were sold in two and three-packs as well as individually. Recalled water bottles were sold between April 2018 and February 7, 2020.

The recall also applies to replacement lids that were issued during a recall in 2019.

People should stop using any recalled water bottles and replacement lids immediately. Customers can contact Contigo to receive a new free water bottle.
