BHBL senior shares cancer study findings with NYOH

Hannah Shell is a senior at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School and a semifinalist in a national science competition.

Both her brother and her father were diagnosed with cancer, so Hannah has been studying the disease at Albany Medical College.

Dr. Mike Willen from New York Oncology - Hematology saw NewsChannel 13’s story about Hannah and invited her to visit his office.

Hannah shared her discoveries in cancer research and the nurses and staff showed her how it translates into clinical trials for patients.
