Interim NY state education commissioner stepping down

Interim New York State Education Commissioner Shannon Tahoe is stepping down.

Tahoe's last day is August 13.


The Board of Regents appointed Tahoe last December.

The board says it is continuing its search to find a permanent commissioner and expects to appoint an acting commissioner before Tahoe leaves.
