Pfizer is expected to seek approval for its COVID-19 vaccine booster for teenagers.

The application for approval is expected to come from the FDA this week.

If approved, teens ages 16 and 17 would be eligible to receive a Pfizer COVID-19 booster.

Currently, the booster is available to everyone ages 18 and older six months after their initial Pfizer series.
