There's an alarming new study conducted by New York state on the effectiveness of the Pfizer vaccine for children.
While the vaccine appears to still be effective at reducing hospitalizations in kids ages 5 to 11, the study said from December to January, the ability to prevent infection dropped sharply from 68% to just 12%.
So what does this mean for your family?
Some health experts say they now fear the news will discourage parents from having their kids get the shot, and they want to remind Americans that the study did not find anything to discredit safety of the vaccine and was still vital to preventing hospitalization.
Learn about what this new data means for your kids heading into the future by watching the video.
