Changing middle and high school schedules may allow students to get better sleep.

Researchers surveyed about 28,000 students in Colorado over two years. They found moving school start times later in the morning resulted in increased sleep of around 45 minutes for students.

Researchers didn't find any significant difference in elementary school students' sleep times after the hour change.

The findings are published in the journal "Sleep."
