The federal government does not plan to grant any waivers for standardized testing this school year.

U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona made that announcement Wednesday at the White House.

That means high school students in New York will take Regents exams in June in English, Algebra, Earth Science, and the Living Environment.

Students in grades 3 through 8 will take state assessments in school starting April 19.
