Updated quarantine guidance went into effect Monday for schools in Albany County.
Under previous guidance, entire classrooms would be quarantined if a single positive case were to be identified.
However, County Health Commissioner Dr. Elizabeth Whalen says local schools have been effective at preventing the spread among the student population, and many teachers have been vaccinated. So those guidelines will relax.
