HOUSTON, Texas - More than 100 employees at a Houston hospital have been suspended without pay for not getting a COVID-19 vaccine.
Most of those employees have filed a lawsuit against Houston Methodist, saying the vaccine is experimental and only approved for emergency use authorization.
The hospital's CEO says 27 of the 178 workers who were suspended got the first dose, and won't be fired if they get their second.
According to the hospital, 285 employees received medical or religious exemptions, and 332 were deferred for pregnancy or other reasons.
