Barber shops, hair and nail salons ordered to close by governor

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is ordering the closing of licensed cosmetology shops effective Saturday, March 21 at 8 p.m.
The move is part of the governor’s Executive Order in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The shops affected include hair salons, barber shops, nail salons, tattoo or piercing parlors. There is no end date to the closures.


Governor Cuomo also announced that all employers will need to reduce the in-person workforce by 75%. READ MORE
