University at Albany is taking another step to shut down campus in this pandemic.
The university technically remains open, but it will be transitioning to remote instruction on Monday, 3/23.
In a letter to students Wednesday, the school announced that it will be limiting on-campus housing for the rest of the semester. It is strongly encouraging students to not return after spring break ends on Friday. The University will provide students who checkout a prorated/partial refund and/or credit for room and meal plan costs.
There is a single confirmed case of coronavirus among a member of the UAlbany community who lives off campus.
