Saratoga Springs-native uses firsthand coronavirus experience to warn millennials

Valerie Wilson grew up in Saratoga Springs, but she's a world traveler.

Known as "The Trusted Travel Girl", she scours the world for the best places to visit and shares videos with the thousands who watch her on social platforms.

However, it is in her own country she believes she contracted the coronavirus.

Since learning she tested positive, she's been on an emotional roller coaster.

Wilson, who now lives in Los Angeles, says she did a trade show in Denver in February. She started feeling badly shortly afterwards, and got tested on March 8.

Health experts say the elderly are at a high risk of infection - but data released Wednesday from the Centers for Disease Control shows millennials are not invincible. One-fifth of those infected and hospitalized are ages 20-44.
