Facebook is sending $50,000 to an Albany non-profit.

AlbanyCanCode is dedicated to creating a new generation of software coders. It will use the grant to increase access for people to its computer coding and training programs, working to grow the pipeline of tech professionals.

AlbanyCanCode started in 2016 with nine students. It has since graduated more than 150 people, who have started careers with companies like Accenture, Goldman Sachs, and MVP Healthcare.
