Middle and high schoolers gather in Schenectady for lesson on STEM role models

SCHENECTADY - Students from local middle schools and high schools gathered at SUNY Schenectady on Friday. They were urged to imagine different career opportunities and new role models.

The program is made possible through a No Limits grant awarded by Mercedes Benz and Mattel Toys.

Each student attending the program was given a toy replica of the Mercedes Benz driven by Ewy Rosqvist in the Argentinian Grand Prix in 1962.

Rosqvist was the first woman driver to compete in the race and set a new speed record.
