Capital Region colleges requiring COVID-19 tests for students, staff

Area colleges are requiring students and employees to be tested for the coronavirus before returning to campus.

University at Albany says it will accept results from tests taken on or after July 26.


For Skidmore students, all students will have to get a test before arriving at campus.

Students and staff at Union College will be screened and tested upon arrival.

The plan's the same at RPI.

Rensselaer County is providing tests for students who are county residents. The test site is in the parking lot of the van Rensselaer Manor. You can get tested Friday, Aug. 14 and Friday, Aug. 21 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Appointments are recommended. You can call 1-800-245-4245.
