Students are taking different paths - like gap years - which is affecting college enrollment numbers nationally.
Research shows a dramatic decline of nearly one million students in colleges nationwide. Almost double the number in 2019 before the start of the pandemic.
Community colleges are being hit the hardest, with a 13% drop off from pre-pandemic enrollment levels.

They also point out the decline is more widespread than ever before.
