Group of Watervliet seniors get free laptops for college

Nine college-bound graduates in Watervliet are now the proud owners of brand new - and free - laptops.

It's all part of a program through the Watervliet Housing Authority.


The laptops were given to students living in Section 8 housing in Watervliet.

The program received $12,000 in donations this year to help make it all happen.

While the computer is free, the students must show proof that they got into college, and they have to stay enrolled for at least one year in order to keep the laptop.
