State budget has enough to save Mohonasen music program

ROTTERDAM - Parents and students in the Mohonasen School District have reason to celebrate.

The new state budget provides enough money to save the music program in the elementary school.

The district was looking at the elimination of about 20 positions.

Now, the Board of Education says it will recommend a budget that reduces the impact of those staff reductions, using the extra state funds and retirement incentives.
