Regents exams cancelled due to coronavirus

High school students in New York state will not be taking Regents exams in June, due to the spread of coronavirus.

The New York State Board of Regents made the announcement Monday during the board's monthly meeting which was held by phone.


Chancellor Betty Rosa said more details and guidance for schools will be released on Tuesday.

Schools across the state have been closed since mid-March and Governor Cuomo's extended an executive order on Monday, now keeping them closed until April 29.
