Some schools closing over coronavirus concerns

Several school districts in the Capital Region are closing down next week as precaution as the coronavirus crisis continues to grip the nation.

The following schools have announced they will be closed from March 16-20:

  • Berne-Knox-Westerlo
  • Bethlehem
  • Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake
  • Captial Region BOCES
  • Cohoes
  • Duanesburg
  • Green Island
  • Guilderland (with the exception of Farnsworth Middle School, which will be closed for two weeks.)
  • Menands
  • Mohonasen
  • Niskayuna
  • North Colonie
  • Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk
  • Schalmont
  • Schenectady
  • Scotia-Glenville
  • Shenendehowa
  • South Colonie
  • Voorheesville
  • Watervliet
  • Woodland Hill Montessori

These school districts closing for two weeks though March 27:

  • Albany
  • Central Berkshire
  • Cobleskill-Richmondville
  • Middleburgh
  • North Adams
  • Schoharie
  • Sharon Springs
