June 26, 2019 07:16 PM

Siena College announced on Wednesday that its president will leave office next summer.

Brother Edward Coughlin will step down when his current contract expires on August 31, 2020.

He was appointed the college's 11th president in November 2014, replacing the Reverend Kevin Mullen.

Coughlin’s departure comes as Siena is developing a new strategic plan and engaging in substantial fundraising for campus improvements.
