New York City begins remote learning Wednesday. It is part of a three-day transitional period.
In-person classes in the city will begin Monday. The city’s largest teachers’ union says many schools still don’t have proper PPE for teachers.
The union and the city reached a deal just before the start of school to delay it with this hybrid system. The deal avoided the chances for a teacher’s strike, which would have been the first in New York City since 1975.
