A Fulton County K-9 now has some extra protection.

Grip received his bullet and stab protective vest.

Grip works the Road Patrol evening shift with his handler, Corporal Damon Stewart.

As NewsChannel 13 previously reported in November, a charitable donation from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. helped pay for the vest. It's sponsored by a fundraiser hosted by Brady Arnold of Brady's K9 Saviors.

Since 2009, Vested Interest in K9 has provided more than 3,500 vests at a total cost of $6.9 million.
