A new Center for Disease Control and Prevention report confirms the coronavirus spread began in the United States in either mid to late January or early February.

The agency said there is no indication the virus arrived in the country in November or December.

Data also suggests the virus arrived either directly or indirectly from China, followed by several importations from Europe.

The CDC also said that patient zero will likely never be known.
