Lawmakers join coalition calling for supervised injection facilities

A statewide coalition wants to create places where addicts can use drugs in a supervised environment. 

Some state lawmakers are now joining the coalition called "End Overdose NY." The type of facility they're pushing for exists in parts of Canada and Europe.

Supporters say they cut down on overdose deaths. Opponents argue the sites will allow addicts to continue to fuel their habit.
