SALEM - Hudson Headwaters Health Network is taking its primary care offices on the road.
It's a 40-foot RV with everything you'd find in a traditional doctor's office, and it aims to make it easier for people who live in rural areas to access the care they need.
In a community where it's common to see farm equipment rolling down the street, the healthcare center on wheels stands out.
Patients can get all of their primary care with two exam rooms, a blood draw station, and a registration area. They also take same-day sick appointments.
All patients are seen by family nurse practitioner Christine Calistri.
"I think the barrier is getting people to the health care and so if we bring the health care to them, it's going to be a whole lot easier, and hopefully we'll be able to take better care of them and help them live healthier and longer," said Calistri.
