Flu activity remains high

While the flu appears to have peaked nationally - activity still remains high.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, the flu is widespread in 46 states and Puerto Rico. That's a drop from 48 states from last week.

However, flu activity is still high due to a second wave of H3N2 virus.

Four more kids have died from flu-related complications, bringing the pediatric death toll to 68.

So far, between 327,000 and 394,000 people were hospitalized.
