Zucker says right now the bigger issue in New York is the flu.

"Last week alone 1,889 New Yorkers were hospitalized with lab-confirmed influenza. At same time, 17,321 lab-confirmed cases, a 15 percent increase over the prior week and the highest numbers we have seen," Zucker said.

The World Health Organization announced Friday more than 600 people have died from the coronavirus with over 31,000 confirmed cases.
