Flu patients should stay away from emergency room

If you think you have the flu, do not go to the emergency room.
If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, like high fever or body aches, doctors recommend seeing your doctor or going to an urgent care clinic.
By visiting the emergency room, you may be putting others at risk of catching the flu. It can also increase your risk of getting other illnesses.
Doctors say the only people who should go to the emergency room are infants, toddlers, those over the age of 65 and people with weakened immune systems.
