ALBANY - Hundreds of people flocked to the Empire State Plaza on Tuesday to draw attention to addiction recovery.

The demonstration was part of Stand Up for Recovery Day.

Friends of Recovery – New York is hoping to advance public policies that promote and support recovery.

The group also wants to end what it calls discrimination, blocking access to addiction treatment, and community-based recovery efforts.
