Motherhood is supposed to be a time of delight. But for many women it's marred by postpartum depression. Based on the findings of a new study of nearly 5,000 new moms, that postpartum depression can last for three years after the baby's birth and, in some cases, get worse over time. The lead researcher on this is Erin Bell, an environmental health sciences and epidemiology professor at UAlbany.
