Scleroderma and Degos are both rare diseases. Scleroderma leads to hardening of the skin and connective tissue. It may be localized or systemic. It causes Narrowing and loss of small blood vessels, hardening of the skin and certain internal organs, the presence of auto-antibodies, and common overlap with other connective tissue diseases. The Steffens Scleroderma Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure and raising awareness. Michelle Morgan is with the foundation. She's also an assistant professor at Russell Sage College and the dietetic internship director.
