State lawmakers passed an emergency bill overnight to help fight coronavirus.

The measure will provide $40 million to hire additional staff, procure equipment, and any other resources necessary to respond to the potential coronavirus pandemic.

This comes as New York confirmed its first case of the virus Sunday night.

Gov. Cuomo and health officials said Monday that the disease is dangerous but a manageable threat.
