TOKYO, Japan - A Japanese electronics company is taking a different direction in its new hearing aids.
The hearing aids look like Bluetooth earphones.
Users can adjust the volume by receiving remote help of experts through a special app.
The move comes as an increasing number of people with hearing loss are experiencing difficulty listening to, and understanding others as people continue to be covered with masks.
The aids were developed specifically for people with mild or moderate hearing loss.
More than 11 million people are believed to have this condition in Japan, but are hesitant about using conventional hearing aids.
Sharp hopes the stylish design will woo the workforce generations.
