New technology making cancer screenings easier

ALBANY - New technology is making screening for things like cancers much easier.

A mobile PET and CT will open its doors in Albany on Thursday. It’s one of the only kind like it in the region.

It will cut scan times for patients in half from 25 minutes to 12 minutes.

The mobile unit will travel 100 miles a week for patients in Albany, Amsterdam, Clifton Park, Hudson and Schenectady.
