New York State Fair canceled for first time since 1947

The New York State Fair in Syracuse has been canceled for this summer.

"This is a really tough one, fairs all across the nation are not reopening," Gov. Cuomo said.


The governor says the decision was made out of an abundance of caution.

According to the New York State Fair website, this marks the first time since 1947 the fair has been canceled.
