COLONIE - Some businesses like eyewear companies really get up in your face. Getting fitted for eyeglasses or sunglasses is an up close and personal experience.

Eyemart Express just opened its first store in the Capital Region and first wanted to let people know how quickly they could turn around a pair of glasses. However, with coronavirus concerns still so prevalent, they're also stressing safety.

The Colonie location of Eyemart Express is number 221 for the company that built it's brand on affordability, like two pairs of single vision glasses for under $40 and speed.

About 90% of the glasses can be out in about an hour.

With 2,000 frames on site, you can imagine how many of them are picked up, tried on, and put down in a given day. However, they don't just get put back on the shelf. There is a thorough disinfecting process.

Everyone in the store has to wear masks and fitting stations have been fittingly adjusted.

You also have to bring a valid script.
