Guilderland assisted-living facility investigates another possible legionnaires' disease case

The Department of Health is investigating a possible case of legionnaire's disease at the Promenade at University Place on Western Avenue in Guilderland.

The Times Union was first to report this story. NewsChannel 13 has since independently verified the information.

A representative for the assisted-living facility says a resident fell ill with a respiratory matter. She says they are being treated and are doing well.

Now, the state is looking to determine if the illness is related to the legionella strain found at the facility back in February.
