People who were at an Albany church are being asked to quarantine until March 29.

The quarantine is for people who attended the Victory Bible Church at 21 Hackett Boulevard, Sunday, March 15 from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

The Department of Health says it's a precautionary move. However, anyone with coronavirus symptoms like fever, cough, and shortness of breath should contact their healthcare provider and the Albany County Department of Health at (518) 447-4580.

Here are the guidelines for a precautionary quarantine:

  • Individuals should remain separate from the family in their own bedroom with a bathroom to themselves. If sharing a bathroom, it must be cleaned after every use.
  • Individuals should not have face-to-face contact with family members close than six feet for 14 days.

Staff from the County Department of Health will be reaching out daily to check on the progress of individuals and to ensure they are abiding by the quarantine measures and have all necessary food and supplies.
